Dear RJ Race Cars, Please consider my 1999 RJ Race Cars Chevrolet S-10 (Serial # 1087) for your “RJ Race Cars Customer Results” web page.  I bought the truck from John Lingenfelter in December 2000. It was originally John's Summit-sponsored Pro Stock Truck, but I've bracket raced it for the last 5 years with a Big Block Chevy/Powerglide combo.  The truck has been awesome.  Recently, I won the 2005 Sumerduck Dragway Quick 16 Doorslammer Championship, went five rounds in Super Pro at the 2005 IHRA Division 1 Summit Super Series Finals at Virginia Motorsports Park, and was nominated to represent my track in the competition for Division 1's Best Engineered doorslammer at the 2004 IHRA Division 1 Summit Series Finals.  I also ran my first “dead on run” (.500 RT and dead on my dial-in with a zero) in my 23 year bracket racing career in this truck during the 2005 race season. My wife, Julie, and my stepdaughter, Anna, are my “Super Crew” and I attribute much of my success to them.  I'd also like to thank RJ Race Cars for an outstanding race truck.  In the five years I've owned and raced the truck, I've never had a single problem with the chassis or body.  The truck is deadly consistent and goes straight down the track on every pass.  I'd recommend an RJ-built car or truck to anybody without hesitation. Chick Ross- Top Sportsman Wins Quick 8 Race New England Dragway

Chick Ross won the Top Sportsman Quick 8 race at New England Dragway's Night of Thrills on August 13th, making it 3 for 3 for RJ built cars at New England's Quick 8 races this season. In less than optimal racing conditions the 2004 Cavalier performed flawlessly and consistently, running a 7.74 @ 182 MPH in the final round at nearly 3900 feet of density altitude. Congratulations!! Steve Spiess -IHRA Pro Stock Chevy Cobalt Wins 4th Annual ACDelco Canadian Nationals in Toronto

Steve Spiess dominated the field all weekend, running a pair of 6.40s and a 6.44 to claim the #1 qualifying position, and the Jon Kaase Tuning Challenge for the fastest, most consistent car during qualifying. Spiess's Saturday night run of a 6.400 set the new national ET record, just missing the 6.30s barrier by .001. Spiess then drove through the field on Sunday, running three 6.45s in a row, and a 6.437 @ 217.98 to top it off in the final. Spiess defeated Robert Patrick in the final to join Daniel Seamon as the only two-time Torco Pro Stock winners on the Hooters IHRA tour this season. He also extended his world championship points lead over Patrick, holding a 635-601 advantage. “The second round we broke a transmission and had to borrow some parts to get it back together, but other than that we didn't made a gram change on the clutch or change anything this whole day,” Spiess said. “I know how seriously Robert takes this and I am, too. Frank Gugliottta - Thodos Motorsports - IHRA Pro Stock Wins 3rd Annual Western RV Rocky Mountain Nationals

Frank Gugliotta (Mt. Airy, MD) captured his second career Ironman when he topped a red-lighting Tony Gillig in the Torco Pro Stock final. Gugliotta last won at the Torco Northern Nationals at US 131 in Michigan last August. “It has been just about a year,” Gugliotta said. “Our car owner (Steve Thodos) didn't come to that race and he didn't come to this race, so that was kind of a shame. We really missed him, too. But this was great. We really needed this win to move us up in the points.” Gugliotta's win made it five different Torco Pro Stock winners in five national events this season. “This is a tough, tough deal,” Gugliotta said. “Every single one of these guys is capable of winning at every single race. Here's a pic from one of our last races which we won at Belle Rose, LA at a Div4 race in Top Sportsman last October. Remember, this was the old Kurt Johnson AC Delco show car. Also the week before we also won the 30th Annual Doorslammer's event in Louisville, KY. Winning both of these races placed us finishing 3rd in Division 3 points last year.  This car has a reputation for launching hard and leaving straight as a laser each and every pass. The staff at our home track at Gateway even remark over the loudspeakers about it's consistently straight launches never deviating from the groove. Thanks for a great ride!!!!
